AN EVENING WITH FARLEY GRANGER


" An evening with Farley Granger" a one-night event celebrating the career of the actor Farley Granger, will take place on Monday, April 23 at the Film Forum at 8 PM. Best known for two key Hitchcock movies ( ROPE and STRANGERS ON A TRAIN) and Visconti´s SENSO, Granger will appear in person to discuss his 50-year career in movies, TV and theater with author/film historian Foster Hirsch and the actor´s longtime partner Robert Calhoun, co-author of Granger´s new memoir, Include Me Out: My life From Goldwyn to Broadway, published by St. Martin´ s Press.
Granger will discuss working with Hitchcock, Nicholas Ray, Viscounti, and Samuel Goldwyn; relationships with intimate friends like Ava Gardner, Rita Hayworth, Patricia Neal, Shelley Winters, and composers Leonard Bernstein and Aaron Copland; and a career in movies, television and theater that has spanned seven decades.
Following the onstage discussion, Mr Granger will sign copies of his new book in the Film Forum lobby.
