Over the years I have written four letters to The New York Times.Two of them were published which shows that my view points were taken into consideration.

For some reason I started to think about The Crucible a 1953 play by American playwright Arthur Miller. It is a dramatized and partially fictionalized story of the Salem witch trials that took place in the Massachusetts Bay Colony during 1692/93. Miller wrote the play as an allegory for McCarthyism, when the United States government ostracized people for being communists! Also also brought to my mind a scene of the movie "All About Eve" when Eve try to blackmail Karen...
