The Rose Poem!

The treasure at the heart of the rose
is your own heart's treasure.
Scatter it as the rose does:
your pain become hers to measure.
Scatter it in a song,
or in one great love's desire.
Do not resist the rose
lest you burn in its fire.

Portrait of Man in Jamaica Photo by Justin Kinkay Anantawan — National Geographic Your Shot

Portrait of Man in Jamaica Photo by Justin Kinkay Anantawan — National Geographic Your Shot: This is a photo of Jamaican model David Durrant. We took this photo on a secluded beach in Portmore that was next to an abandoned hotel. It took us 30 minutes to walk from the road to the location. It was a beautiful feeling to be alone in this setting...with the exception of the fisherman who walked by. I always find it very interesting when a model chooses to shoot nude with me because on top of revealing their body, they seem to reveal more of their soul. It is scary yet intimate.

An interesting painting!

At the Metropolitan Museum, an exhibition of

Dutch masters, one particular painting  by Hendrick Cornelisz Van Vliet, shows  a dog peeing in the interior of a church.

Vermeer at the Met.

Johannes Vermeer October 1632 – December 1675) was a Dutch painter who specialized in domestic interior scenes of middle-class life. He was a moderately successful provincial genre painter in his lifetime but evidently was not wealthy, leaving his wife and children in debt at his death, perhaps because he produced relatively few paintings.

AT THE MUSEUMS!

In a cold and gray day nothing is better than spend a morning in a Museum. We get the feeling of being in Paris. Call me crazy if you will but I love Paris when it is gray and raining.
At the Metropolitan Museum in New York City, celebrating  Tintoretto, Portrait  paintings and studio drawings.
Dans une journée froide et grise, rien de mieux que de passer une matinée dans un musée. Nous avons l'impression d'être à Paris. Appelez-moi fou si vous voulez, mais j'aime Paris quand il fait gris et qu'il pleut.
